Michael Bay Takes High Road in Megan Fox Drama

GoldStar_med.jpgYesterday, we looked at the drama surrounding Megan Fox’s recent remarks about Michael BAy, including referring to Michael as “Hitler.”

Angry Transormers’ crew members wrote a scathing public letter attacking Megan Fox.

Today, Michael Bay responded on his website:

The Crew Letter

I don’t condone the crew letter to Megan. And I don’t condone Megan’s outlandish quotes. But her crazy quips are part of her crazy charm. The fact of the matter I still love working with her, and I know we still get along. I even expect more crazy quotes from her on Transformers 3.

Michael

Take note: Michael managed to come out of this whole debacle smelling like a rose. He took the high road, didn’t add fuel to the fire, and now the story will likely die a quick death.

More than just a brilliant PR move on Bay’s part, this was the right thing to do.

Lesson to learn? Before airing out a set disagreement in the press, think twice. Remember: what happens on set, stays on set.

I am forced to wonder if it was Michael Bay who anonymously wrote the “crew” letter as well. That would be truly brilliant. And completely overly paranoid of me. But it would totally be the correct strategic move instead of getting into a mud-slinging contest with Megan Fox. And Wesleyan alumni are clever like that. If you assume Hollywood public relations is a game.

He has a lot of class to be so tolerant of her nonsense.
Or is it that the power of Directors has diminished considerably?
