how can i apply or audition to be on the season 3 of scream queens???

Okay, here’s the thing everyone: as of yesterday our cast is BASICALLY finalized. Girls HAVE been contacted. The way the season has been shaking out, we never really know the final cast until all the paperwork is done, etc, etc. I’m not in a position yet where I can say “cast is finalized” but I CAN say the girls who are most likely on the show have heard from us in the last few days.

Thank you all for your auditions…it’s been unbearable this season because so many of you were SO good. I really still can’t say “cast locked” but I can say you know by now if you’re in the running. Sorry it’s taken so long, but even today we’re trying to make final decisions.

If you’re not one of the finalists this year, you better come out for Season 3! Watch this season, learn from the judges, keep auditioning for other things, and come back next year!

And thanks to all of YOU, for considering us. It makes us feel good to know you cared enough to give us a try.

That’s great about Tim Sullivan! You promised @Fallon that once you finalized the cast and told the girls,that you’d let us know on the message board and we are still waiting! PLEASE Biagio! I’m sure I’m speaking for all the girls on this boardj, teehee, please just tell us if you’ve notified all lhe contestants you have chosen so we can move on with our lives and root for the girls who actuallly made it when the show finally airs. I’m a big fan of the show, and think someone from Canada should be on the show for sure! Canada has really good talent that just needs a little push to start a great career, so hopefully there will be someone from Canada to represent.

Actually, James misspoke. He did, in fact, have input in who the final cast will be, but not all contestants have been told yet. In fact, there were so many good actresses this year that we’re still going back and forth over a few. Probably won’t know for another week. But we’ll be sure to post!

Just read in James Gunn’s blog that they picked the girlz and have told them! Congratz ladiez!!!! Can’t wait till it aires in America!

I was wondering if say we are not from the US instead we are from like Canada, and we have not recieved any e-mails or calls for an interview, then does that mean we have not really been considered? I totally understand that there is a wait, but seeing that I am from Canada I thought I would maybe get a call for an interview, as I remember reading someplace else. If you Biagio can answer this I would really appreciate it, and will have some idea of what to expect, because my friends keep asking me whats going on, and have nothing to tell them……..

@Biagio: oh cool, my friend and I are really big fans of the show and she did some creeping online and said she saw something about the girls being chosen. Maybe she read last years message board or something. Anyhow, thanks for the response. Cant wait to watch the show… I think its so neat that you give these unknowns the chance to make their dreams come true. More people should do the same. Good luck finalizing the cast, I bet that its been very tough on you guys… anyhow cant wait!

So has anyone heard anything? My friend told me she read online that they chose the girls, but I couldnt find the message board she was talking about.

KENDRA- thank you… and yes I said the same thing :0( yes there are a lot of talent in BIg cities such as NY or LA … and your right they will probably pick some of those girls due to them being so close and not having to travel far for 2nd interviews or call backs ect. They are the girls who have the advantage…. but with that said I am hoping they give some small towns a shot too…. you never know the kind of talent that’s hidin’ away because so many people refuse to find it… that’s y I had to do this…. :0) people under estimate small towns because they really don’t know anything about it or have never been but I believe people from different sides of the US all live the same life but in different ways and THAT’s what’s so interesting! So we will see how it all goes and i wish you all the best! I mean They “meaning scream queens casting directors” have so much work to do and it’s probably hard for them to weed out people day by day to finally come to a cast they want…. So our worries and anxiety can’t even touch theirs lol…. they’re the ones who are chosen to put on a good show, we’re just the pawns along for the ride :0) lol…. geez.. wine makes me feel smart.. i always have so much to say lol…..( if your wondering I had a slightly dislocated back a little bit ago and was offered painrelievers but refused to take them because i dont wanna have the chance to get addicted like 80% of KY lol…. so I have a glass here or there to ease the little pains lol… thats all) or is it? lol….

Lets hope they give women all over the country this oppurtunity. It would be a terrible shame if they picked a bunch of Cali or NY girls. These girls can go to auditions all day if they want. We will make an announcement when the final cast is locked. We won’t say who they are, or when we’re shooting (top secret) but by the time we make the announcement, you’ll know if it’s you or not. As I wrote in my response above, I know how hard it is to play the waiting game, but the best thing you can all do is keep auditioning for roles! Whether it’s Scream Queens or something else, if acting is right for you, you’ll find your big break.

As always, we’re so appreciative of everyone who put their heart and soul on the line for this audition, and we promise to make a great show and do all of you proud. In the mean time, best of luck with all your acting endeavors, and whatever your dream is, keep at it.

I am really cool! lol… jk… im also very sarcastic and have an extreme silly personality… if you have a sec to look at some of my pics on facebook… you’ll see I have no problem looking ugly at all lol…………. Im a true prankster at heart and I often seem a bit comedic at times… i just find that laughing is the best medicine and I have always been good at leaving people with something to laugh about later, after im gone lol!

@Amber-Hey Amber I live in a small town too. It’s called Paris Texas. It’s like a little dot on the map. But I am ready to leave here and go to L.A. to pursue acting. I do have a family. I am married with a kid. And Acting is a really big dream for me. I am SAG Eligible and I do have training, but I am more of a natural and more Method. Yeah that would be great to have made it. I mean I moved from Philadelphia to Kentucky and let me tell you, you just can’t go around bouncing from one audition to another… so when things like this pop up, you HAVE TO jump on them. I mean the closest thing to me is a Goat farm lol seriously.. so u can only imagine lol…. the supermarket is another 10 minutes ahead lol …. :0) Im trying to keep busy, I recently had a slighty dislocated spine, so that actually kept me more focused on that rather than anything else lol…. It’s better now lol… I just need to keep doing movements at home and treat myself to a rub down once and a while lol….. But yeah, I was told to not overanalyze anything and not drive the boyfriend crazy so… im doing good on that, but if you ever talked to him, he’s going to say something different lol….. but I’m being patient i really am, I am at the point where I’m trying so hard to forget I even auditioned… but that’s way to hard… Im constantly watching horror movies n constantly obsessed with last season of scream queens lol…… BUT I wish you luck! I hope your not as jumpy as I am… lol

@Amber-Hey Gurl I am also waiting to hear back. But last night I had a dream that I was on a Reality show and I was moving into this beautiful Mansion. It was Awesome. But Donna is such a sweety pie. She is the first Casting Director who was so nice and patient to work with. She deserves a raise. But hopefully we both make it on the show. LOL But just keep praying and keep busy. @Tanya – Thank you for respecting how busy we are. I checked with casting…they were very happy with the new pics you sent. For fairness reasons, I can’t go into to much detail on our process, and for that reason, I won’t answer any more questions on casting after this one…not just for you, but for other actresses who applied.

Tanya, I do want you to know that we had thousands of submissions, and you have made it to a pile of very talented girls…so have a few hundred others.

What I want ALL actresses who applied to know is that, just like any other audition you go to, this is just one of many. The fact that you followed through, submitted, and took a chance on yourself proves how committed you are to your craft.

Back when I was acting (I played Marc Cram on Kenan and Kel) I would get just as frustrated waiting for the news after an audition. There’s only one way to get past it: go audition for something else, and then for something else. Every audition is a building block on the way to your success, and no career hinges on just one audition. Whether or not Scream Queens is the job that puts you on the map, if you stick with it, eventually something WILL put you on the map.

Acting is a frustrating business, but if you take great pride in every class you take, every audition you go to, and truly put your all into it each time, you can know in your heart that you’re doing your all to achieve your dream. As actor’s that’s all we can do.

Congrats on making it to the callbacks, and proving you’ve got acting chops. No matter what happens now, promise us…and yourself…that you’re going to keep going until you make it! Personally, I wish you the best of luck with your career and on Scream Queens, but, as you know, I’m only one of many, many, many voices who make the final decision!

Well I got a call from Dana and Marisela last week and they asked me to send in more of a variety of pictures. So I sent them via email and I haven’t heard anything yet. I don’t want to keep bothering them/you guys because I KNOW that this is a very grueling process. And that you guys are very busy. Especially you because I follow you on twitter and you have A LOT going on aside from scream queens. I just wanted to know if the pics were ok and if they needed more, etc. I just wanted to make sure that I have dotted all my i’s and crossed all my t’s. And if the pictures weren’t good, I would have enough time to give better ones.

Hello. I was just going to write to say that I hope you guys look at the footage and not how good the video was put together. haha. I sent in a video to you all and let me tell you it was the hardest thing ive done in a long time converting vob files to avi to wmv files, geez. Lets just say that im better infront of the camera than behind the camera. I didnt know how to edit and apparently none of my friends are that swell in that department either. @Lara Watch every video, read every application, look at every photo. Over and over again : ) Lengthy, lengthy process, which is why we start long before the will ever shoot. Want to find the best, and willing to take the time to get it right!

so this casting process… do you guys do a quick picking process like say step 1.) would be checking out the head shots and pics and picking the girls who are attractive? 2) would be picking the ladies with a great on screen presence . 3)would be there acting, who has it and who doesnt and then maybe who could have it with a little help. Or do you actually go through and watch every video, read every application and look at all the photos?

I had a great time at the NY casting call and call back! This whole process really put a spark under my a*#! Got me all fired up and ready to compete! Dana has my pics and DVD. I hope everyone enjoys it. My man and I rented that hotel room just to shoot that scene! @Aqua Lee It’ a bit more complicated, but you have the basic idea. We scour the country via open calls and casting notices inviting home submissions. We look for the very best talent, as well as a diverse cast. As Executive Producers, we weigh in, so does Lionsgate, so does VH1. In the end, we all work together to find the best cast. It’s honestly a grueling process because we look so closely at every single candidate, and there will always be more talented girls than we have room for on the show. But we were very happy with last season’s cast and believe Season 2 will be just as awesome if not better!

just curious as to how many tapes you guys received?

I know that I have been in constant contact with you guys. Just know that it’s just because of my excitement! I wanted to actually take the time to thank you guys for taking the time to answer my questions and I just wanted to say that my audition experiences on Saturday and Monday were THE BEST! It felt good flexing my acting chops again because I hadn’t done it in years. Everyone was so kind and welcoming which made the audition process even more of a pleasure. @Wade: Casting is an ongoing process, and last year the final ladies didn’t know until just before shooting. I anticipate the same thing this year. As we’re still finalizing our shoot schedule, there are no hard dates yet. As a former actor myself, I know waiting is the worst part…sorry!
