Screw Cancer. Steve Mazan is Ready to Edit a Movie!

As you know, Dying to do Letterman is a self-funded, passion project documentary we’ve been shooting for more than four years.

It follows comedian Steve Mazan who, after learning he has liver cancer, dedicates his life to living his dream: performing on the David Letterman show.

4 Years and 300 Footage Hours Later…

Today, post-production began in earnest.

Steve who’s far more than just the subject of the doc–he’s a talented writer and producer himself–will be very hands on during the edit.

Here’s some Flip cam video of our hero, Steve Mazan, getting ready to begin the next leg of his amazing, inspirational journey. He’s joined here by his wife Denise, who supported Steve’s every move in chasing his dream.

Be sure to follow Steve on Twitter (just launched his account today!) and be a part of his amazing journey.

Here’s the video:

Sounds like a terrific project. I don’t envy you with 300 hours worth of footage to go through – but I know you’ll tell a great story.

BTW – twizzlers and M&M’s are my go to foods during production – but may I suggest -
apples, carrots, plums and bananas. All good for you and they taste great!

    Good luck with the documentary.
