We’re thrilled to announce the casting for season two of VH1’s SCREAM QUEENS. This is a show we’re really proud of, and so excited to be working on once again.
Those of you who watched season one know that ten aspiring actresses competed for a break-out role in the Lionsgate film Saw VI, part of the Saw franchise (the highest-grossing horror-movie franchise of all-time.)
To be able to offer a role in such a major motion picture as a prize was unprecedented, and amazing to produce.
Tanedra Howard Wins First Season of Scream Queens
Tanedra Howard, a total unknown from Inglewood, shocked everyone with her natural talent and emotional performances. Against some steep competition, Tanedra won the title of Scream Queen, and a major acting role in Saw VI. She recently filmed her career-launching movie-role, and hits big-screens across the country this October.
Here, Tanedra talks about Scream Queens, how it launched her career, and explains why actresses should really consider auditioning for the show.

just wondering if anyone has heard anything ?!?! regarding casting…. lol… I have waited…lol and for a person with little patience I have done very well taking a chill pill all through sept lol…. I am currently trying to get myself excited about other things to keep my mind busy but there are so few days in October to wait on… and each day, it seems like it just gets closer to the airing date of the show lol….. i went and put a hold on saw for xbox360… now that date is the 7th that Im waiting on….. lol…. I really wanna see the movie but in a way… I’d rather be in a house with 9 other girls having THEE best halloween of my life with a chance of stardom lol! ….
Oh and by the way, I would just like to say how wonderful donna is! She has been so nice and sweet to me and she has helped me a lot, all while being in touch after i sent my second video to all of you :0)…. I am just happy and grateful enough that someone with so much to do in such little time, made time aside to help me along the way so I just wanna thank her for being soo AWESOME and it meant a lot…. n for those who had to watch my 2nd video lol… I am sorry lol… but thanks for taking the time to listen, because not a lot of people do these days and I talked about things i haven’t talked about in years so in a way… it was good to have done that and release a lot of anxiety and stress along the way! You guys are amazing! thanks again! and “I hope your not working too hard” lol! ( that’s the moto of kentucky lol… can you wonder why?lol) Now I must get back to my busy life of watching horror movies… lol Jason Vorheese is not very patient… lol
@Amber-Hey Gurl I am also waiting to hear back. But last night I had a dream that I was on a Reality show and I was moving into this beautiful Mansion. It was Awesome. But Donna is such a sweety pie. She is the first Casting Director who was so nice and patient to work with. She deserves a raise. But hopefully we both make it on the show. LOL But just keep praying and keep busy. They most likely started auditions early enough to have extra time to choose the gurls before filming. So take care and God Bless!!!!

Yeah that would be great to have made it. I mean I moved from Philadelphia to Kentucky and let me tell you, you just can’t go around bouncing from one audition to another… so when things like this pop up, you HAVE TO jump on them. I mean the closest thing to me is a Goat farm lol seriously.. so u can only imagine lol…. the supermarket is another 10 minutes ahead lol …. :0) Im trying to keep busy, I recently had a slighty dislocated spine, so that actually kept me more focused on that rather than anything else lol…. It’s better now lol… I just need to keep doing movements at home and treat myself to a rub down once and a while lol….. But yeah, I was told to not overanalyze anything and not drive the boyfriend crazy so… im doing good on that, but if you ever talked to him, he’s going to say something different lol….. but I’m being patient i really am, I am at the point where I’m trying so hard to forget I even auditioned… but that’s way to hard… Im constantly watching horror movies n constantly obsessed with last season of scream queens lol…… BUT I wish you luck! I hope your not as jumpy as I am… lol
@Amber-Hey Amber I live in a small town too. It’s called Paris Texas. It’s like a little dot on the map. But I am ready to leave here and go to L.A. to pursue acting. I do have a family. I am married with a kid. And Acting is a really big dream for me. I am SAG Eligible and I do have training, but I am more of a natural and more Method. I wonder if maybe they already chose the girls and are not going to say who they are until filming begins. Anyone know when the filming is set to start? Im sure they arent going to call back all the girls who didnt make it.
Yeah, I am better for sure lol…… But that’s cool that your from a small town too! I thought they’d be picking all LA girls or NYC girls lol….. but I guess all you can do is pray… so I will pray and hope that Karma finally helps me out for a change….! I am SO ready to leave KENTUCKY n its GOATFARM lol….80% of the people here are all addicted to oxy and most of them don’t have their teeth lol…. so… ew! lol! But I am hoping I can get outta here and start somewhere in LA as well….. That’s awesome you’re married and have a kid… I love kids but I don’t plan on having them any time soon…. I want to do the ooposite of my mother so i gotta follow my career first :0) And as for me, I just have a BF… no husband… lol… i like to take things slow in that department….

@Amber-Hey Gurl ya my daughter is 4 yrs old and my husband supports my career so that won’t be a problem, but if you can wait please do so. When you have a child it’s a lot of responsiblility. But I hope you make the show you seem real cool!!!!

AQUA LEE…. I am really cool! lol… jk… im also very sarcastic and have an extreme silly personality… if you have a sec to look at some of my pics on facebook… you’ll see I have no problem looking ugly at all lol…………. Im a true prankster at heart and I often seem a bit comedic at times… i just find that laughing is the best medicine and I have always been good at leaving people with something to laugh about later, after im gone lol!

We will make an announcement when the final cast is locked. We won’t say who they are, or when we’re shooting (top secret) but by the time we make the announcement, you’ll know if it’s you or not. As I wrote in my response above, I know how hard it is to play the waiting game, but the best thing you can all do is keep auditioning for roles! Whether it’s Scream Queens or something else, if acting is right for you, you’ll find your big break.
As always, we’re so appreciative of everyone who put their heart and soul on the line for this audition, and we promise to make a great show and do all of you proud. In the mean time, best of luck with all your acting endeavors, and whatever your dream is, keep at it.

I love kids… I have such an inner child left in me, I get down with the barbies and bratz dolls lol….. i didn’t have much of a child hood growing up, i sort of had to grow up fast but HEY when x mas comes around… you bet I’ll be making gingerbread houses like crazy and watching all the x mas cartoons like my favorite “a year without a santaclause” heat miser and snow miser r the truth lol……

Lets hope they give women all over the country this oppurtunity. It would be a terrible shame if they picked a bunch of Cali or NY girls. These girls can go to auditions all day if they want. You girls from these small towns im sure dont have these opportunities . Anyhow-good luck to you all! Also, you took the first step of following your dreams, so be proud!
KENDRA- thank you… and yes I said the same thing :0( yes there are a lot of talent in BIg cities such as NY or LA … and your right they will probably pick some of those girls due to them being so close and not having to travel far for 2nd interviews or call backs ect. They are the girls who have the advantage…. but with that said I am hoping they give some small towns a shot too…. you never know the kind of talent that’s hidin’ away because so many people refuse to find it… that’s y I had to do this…. :0) people under estimate small towns because they really don’t know anything about it or have never been but I believe people from different sides of the US all live the same life but in different ways and THAT’s what’s so interesting! So we will see how it all goes and i wish you all the best! I mean They “meaning scream queens casting directors” have so much work to do and it’s probably hard for them to weed out people day by day to finally come to a cast they want…. So our worries and anxiety can’t even touch theirs lol…. they’re the ones who are chosen to put on a good show, we’re just the pawns along for the ride :0) lol…. geez.. wine makes me feel smart.. i always have so much to say lol…..( if your wondering I had a slightly dislocated back a little bit ago and was offered painrelievers but refused to take them because i dont wanna have the chance to get addicted like 80% of KY lol…. so I have a glass here or there to ease the little pains lol… thats all) or is it? lol….

@Biagio: oh cool, my friend and I are really big fans of the show and she did some creeping online and said she saw something about the girls being chosen. Maybe she read last years message board or something. Anyhow, thanks for the response. Cant wait to watch the show… I think its so neat that you give these unknowns the chance to make their dreams come true. More people should do the same. Good luck finalizing the cast, I bet that its been very tough on you guys… anyhow cant wait!
I was wondering if say we are not from the US instead we are from like Canada, and we have not recieved any e-mails or calls for an interview, then does that mean we have not really been considered? I totally understand that there is a wait, but seeing that I am from Canada I thought I would maybe get a call for an interview, as I remember reading someplace else. If you Biagio can answer this I would really appreciate it, and will have some idea of what to expect, because my friends keep asking me whats going on, and have nothing to tell them……..

Actually, James misspoke. He did, in fact, have input in who the final cast will be, but not all contestants have been told yet. In fact, there were so many good actresses this year that we’re still going back and forth over a few. Probably won’t know for another week. But we’ll be sure to post!

Well… congrats to the girls who did make the show, I hope you all show me up lol…. cause If not, I’ll probably cry for being overlooked at another audition lol…… ;0P …. I’m a big fan of the show, and think someone from Canada should be on the show for sure! Canada has really good talent that just needs a little push to start a great career, so hopefully there will be someone from Canada to represent.

I’m sure I’m speaking for all the girls on this boardj, teehee, please just tell us if you’ve notified all lhe contestants you have chosen so we can move on with our lives and root for the girls who actuallly made it when the show finally airs. Okay, here’s the thing everyone: as of yesterday our cast is BASICALLY finalized. Girls HAVE been contacted. The way the season has been shaking out, we never really know the final cast until all the paperwork is done, etc, etc. I’m not in a position yet where I can say “cast is finalized” but I CAN say the girls who are most likely on the show have heard from us in the last few days.
Thank you all for your auditions…it’s been unbearable this season because so many of you were SO good. I really still can’t say “cast locked” but I can say you know by now if you’re in the running. Sorry it’s taken so long, but even today we’re trying to make final decisions.
If you’re not one of the finalists this year, you better come out for Season 3! Watch this season, learn from the judges, keep auditioning for other things, and come back next year!
And thanks to all of YOU, for considering us. It makes us feel good to know you cared enough to give us a try.
