Saturday’s open casting call in L.A. was a huge success. Thanks to all the actresses who came out for Scream Queens season 2.
Major thanks also goes to Fearnet.com for helping us get the word out about the Scream Queens casting, and to all you Twitter users following @james_gunn, @tanedrahoward, @SQCasting, and @jokeandbiagio for sending great people our way.
Finally, lots of gratitude to the New York Film Academy, Backstage West, and Samuel French for helping out with the open call today!
Here’s some pics:
It was HOT
Early on, actresses toughed it out in the hot sun as the line wrapped around the building.

An actress puts her inner demons on display.

She really loves James Gunn.

James gets so serious when he talks about acting.
Loving Producing Scream Queens

Actresses, beware! Don’t try to pull one over on casting director Dana Lynne Tomsic!

Dana, Chad, Donna, Joke, and Biagio see some great potential!

Agent Ra Kumar and Joke share a chuckle.

Donna and Biagio are glad the actresses are competitive!

Executive in Charge of Production Peter Spoerri stopped by to lend a helping hand.

Chad and Joke found some applications very…creative!
A Great Start!
Don’t forget, we’re still casting! New York open calls are coming up. Additionally, if you can’t make it to an open call, you can submit a home tape…you’re chances will be just as good.
Looking forward to a fantastic cast for an incredible season 2 of Scream Queens!

Biagio, I just wanted to say that it was really awesome meeting you and thanks again! I was the wild redhead in the picture above where I am intensely staring down my competition! haha just so you don’t forget!.Are you all finished with the LA casting now? Good luck at the NYC auditions!
All actresses: You all did great. We’ll be figuring out callbacks in the coming week or so. Regardless of what happens, I commend each of you for coming out to the audition, or, if you can’t make it, for sending in a tape.
99% of being an artist is actually showing up. You all did the right thing by treating the audition as an opportunity, and coming out to try to use it for your benefit. Whether Scream Queens is the project that launches your career, or another audition sends you skyrocketing, the important thing is to keep putting yourself out there.
Bravo to all of you, and I tip my hat to each of you that has the courage to go for it.
All the best,
Biagio
