Scream Queens iPhone App from Joke and Biagio

UPDATE: Alas, as technology marches on, the Scream Queens app is no longer compatible with iPhones these days. However, check out what it was about, and have a look at the commercials we produced and directed for the app below. This was a fun experiment that brought a lot of extra eyes to our VH1 show Scream Queens.

Designed by Joke, programmed by Biagio, it’s the official Scream Queens 2 iPhone app. Free!

Made With Love

Scream.jpgThere was no budget for this app. It was a labor of love–our love for all the fans of Scream Queens. Thank you so much for supporting Scream Queens, and making season 2 possible.

Thanks to David Spies and Moviemaker Magazine

We’re a relatively young company. We have a few solid projects under our belts. Still, we wondered if anyone would be interested in a blog from young producers making their way through the biz. After all, we’re still some years away from being Bruckheimer.

Thanks for Reading…

So it was a really nice surprise when David Spies wrote a letter to MovieMaker Magazine to inform them we should’ve been included in the “50 Best Blogs for Moviemakers” issue.

How to Write a Screenplay on the iPad

UPDATE: This post is almost about three years old now. There are certainly better ways to write a screenplay on the iPad now. That said, in the comments Doug has provided a link to a working update of the template.

Yes, We’re Geeking Out

Sure, Final Draft has announced that there will be some kind of iPad version of their screenwriting software, and Black Manna has a screenplay program that runs on the iPhone (which theoretically should work on the iPad in a zoomed in “iPhone” manner, but the company says they’ll be releasing an official iPad version soon.)

In the mean time, if you have your shiny new iPad, and want to write a screenplay in full on iPad mode…what to do?

New Screenplay Template for iWork: Free.

There are some great screenwriting programs out there, both free and paid. Final Draft is known to be the Hollywood standard for paid apps, and the do-it-all-in-one-app-for-free phenom Celtx is a must try. It’s free, after all, and it works like a real screenwriting program (if not feeling the most “Mac” like.)

Here’s another option you might like to try, that turned out a little better than I expected.
